Cheshire is the heartland of English dairy farming. It’s been the most important area for milk, cheese and cream production for centuries – so where better to learn about cooking with dairy products than a modern Cheshire dairy farm!
You’ll see the farm in action, visit the cows and hens of course and learn the basic techniques of cooking with dairy products. Then it's back to the kitchen to have a go at some of the following:
- Making your own cream & butter
- Soda Bread – a traditional farmhouse staple
- Yogurt & Yogurt Cake
- Toffee Meringues with cream
Pack lunch and apron required, all other ingredients provided and don't forget the wellies! Allergy advice to parents - children will be in contact with milk, eggs and various animals (supervised hand washing after contact with animals).
