Cookery Club Modules

There are 3 modules making up the whole course – each one runs for 5 weeks.

Module 1

  • Cooking with eggs – scrambled, boiled, poached, omelettes
  • Potatoes – boiled, mashed, roasted, healthy chips
  • Salads and salad dressings

Module 2

  • Vegetables – preparing & cooking; vegetarian cookery
  • Milk & Cream – heating, making a white sauce, rice pudding, custard
  • Fish – grilling, healthy fried fish

Module 3

  • Beef – homemade beefburgers
  • Pasta – cooking pasta and making a Bolognese sauce
  • Lasagne – using the pasta sheets, making the white sauce and Bolognese sauces

Module 4

  • Bread making – wholemeal bread, bread rolls
  • Pancakes & Pizzas – pancakes and galettes, making pizza bases and pizza toppings
  • Baking – fairy cakes, Victoria sponge
